About us

Like most good start-ups, Boona Boona began life in a garden shed, in our case out the back of a house in Totterdown, Bristol. We've moved out of the shed and now roast speciality coffee on a 10kg Roastmax coffee roaster in a proper building in Staple Hill.

Our goal is to get as many people as possible to enjoy speciality coffee as this is the only way that the coffee industry will be sustainable in the long term with a fair deal for farmers and the planet.

We believe that speciality coffee should offer something for everyone so we provide a wide range of flavours and roast levels to suit a variety of tastes.

We also believe that coffee should be fun and we don't take ourselves too seriously. There is so much about coffee to celebrate, from the people and cultures of the countries of origin to the huge range of flavours that can be found in those little beans.

We celebrate this in our own little way by using our packaging to illustrate celebration in the country of origin and hopefully highlight the colour and vibrancy of the countries that produce our coffee.

Finally, we want to be a sustainable and responsible business and our way of doing this is to donate 10% of profit to Avon Needs Trees. This amazing charity is committed to planting permanent forests in the South West of England and we are proud to be able to support this.  You can find out more about our partnership with Avon Needs Trees here.

Hopefully this gives you a little insight into who we are and what we're about, but if you have any questions about our coffee or what we do, please contact us, we'd be happy to chat!
